On November 18th, Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials delivered ‘First Aid Kit’ as a part of corporate social contribution activities for the local community.
This activity was planned after hearing from the community’s welfare center for disabled that many households of persons with impairment are suffering medicine shortage.
The volunteers of Doosan packed First Aid Kit including fever reducer, antipyretic, and digestive medicine and delivered them to each household.
Since 2016, Doosan has supported the disabled’s healthy daily life with community’s welfare center for disabled.
Social contribution activities for the local community include ‘Doosan healthy meal project’ delivering healthy food, ‘Cool summer project’ which provides fans and air-conditioners, and ‘Chuseok full moon festival’ to celebrate the Chuseok holiday together.
Doosan’s social contribution team said, “Doosan has been carrying out many social contribution programs in each site of office and plants in Korea.”
Doosan’s social contribution programs include sending flowers and commemorative gifts to the elderly from low-income families (Seoul), donating food and grocery for meals for the elderly who live alone (JeungPyung), donating goods for the welfare center for disabled (Iksan), and ‘dreaming study room’, renovating study room for children from low-income families (Gimcheon).
