    This is because it determines the temperature at which the base material of CCL converts from a glassy state into a soft, rubbery state.

    Amongst various types of CCL – the substrate material essential for your PCBs –, there are High Tg CCLs.

    High Tg CCLs protect the PCB against thermal shock and stress through high thermal stability characteristics, making for a high heat, moisture, and chemical resistance board compared to standard FR-4 boards.

    But it also offers low CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) that greatly improves products’ reliability.

    In such applications as smart devices, mobile DRAM, or memory module/SSD, this makes for a critical advantage as it prevents cracks and warpages.
