    • Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials Set to Record Biggest Ever Turnover in 4Q

    • 2012.12.17
  • On December 17, BS Securities Korea predicted that Doosan would record its biggest turnover yet in the fourth quarter of the year in terms of the business results of its own businesses, largely due to the upward performance of its electro-materials BG.

Senior researcher Minjeong Gwak said, “Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials is anticipated to record its largest turnover ever in the 4th quarter due to the expansion of its FCCL (flexible copper clad laminate) production lines and the increase in the proportion of FCCL in its product portfolio to meet the booming demand for FCCL for smartphones and tablet PCs.” She went on to say, “In its OLED business, the demand for OLED for use in smartphones and tablet PCs is anticipated to continue rising into next year. The demand for OLED for TVs will begin to grow in 2014 as well, and sales are expected to continue to grow for some time to come.”

“With regard to Doosan Corporation Mottrol, there is no indication that the Chinese excavator market will recover soon. Yet its turnover in the area of the Korean defense industry has increased. The company is, therefore, most likely to turn a profit this year.” She added, “This year’s dividend is anticipated to account for around 2.3% of the current stock price, with 500 KRW for an interim dividend and 3,000 KRW for a year-end dividend. The dividend rate is rather attractive.” The securities firm maintained its buy status and its target price of 190,000 KRW for the Doosan BG.
